Dual Displacement Motors - GD Series
Technical Characteristics:
The GD series presents a type of crankshaft design radial piston hydraulic motor based on the nine cylinder design. These motors use many standard components, parts of constant displacement motors (GM series) which ensure better performance and reliability. The nine cylinder design guarantees a very smooth output torque, the shaft’s eccentricity is based on a simple mechanism. The dual displacement is reached by the
variation of the eccentricity of the cam of the shaft. The torque control system is based on a low pressure hydraulic device, which activates
a control of the valve mechanism which allows to choose between minimum or maximum displacement whose ratio reaches 1:4. The dual displacement system allows the motor to reduce the displacement to 10% of the maximum, therefore increasing the speed ten times. SAI has just launched the GD4A which is equipped with reinforced bearings which guarantee a longer life of the motor.
